Contemporary Arts Precincts is leading the transformation of more than 6000sqm of property located on the site of the former Collingwood TAFE. The vision for the Collingwood Art Precinct is to convert this incredible inner city location into Melbourne’s newest cultural asset. With the support of the Victorian State Government, the City of Yarra and key philanthropic partners, the Collingwood Arts Precinct will become the first space which incorporates artists’ studios, offices for arts organisations and creative industries, rehearsal spaces, galleries, artisan workshops, cafes, and venues for exhibitions, performances and public events and more.

CAP will offer secure, affordable tenancies and innovative programs to incubate, support and showcase emerging to mid-career artists, small to medium sized arts organisations and creative enterprises. It will facilitate an ecosystem of collaboration between artists and foster meaningful community engagement with the arts; it will be a place shaped by fresh ideas. Contemporary Arts Precincts will open this new precinct to the public at the end of 2018 and engage in a program of small scale activities over the coming years.
