Mosey

Stephanie Mulder and I founded Mosey, a collection of digital guides to some of the world’s most interesting neighbourhoods. Each guide is made for exploring on foot or by bicycle, with a slow travel mindset. We create walking guides, cycling routes and self-guided design tours. Every recommendation is personally visited, with no paid placements.

Mosey is our passion project and an extension of our professional practices. The guides draw on the mode and mindsets of slow travellers, using experiential mapping to deliver the right information, at the right time, in the right place and in the most useful format. Tour de Sign brought Mosey into our professional world: a Melbourne Design Week walking tour where our favourite collaborators and industry heroes shared the stories behind their work. Tour de Sign and our cycling tour, Northside Design Ride, now live on as virtual guides.

Mosey is made with Steph, my partner in life, love and Mosey. From the start, it has been shaped by illustrator Jeff Phillips, animators Steve Elliget and Chris Moore, and photographer Oli Sansom. And a huge thank you to the collaborators and creative heroes who have contributed to our guides, and to the Locals we have interviewed, who bring these neighbourhoods to life.
